At KKFISTORY.ORG a history site of 90.1 FM, Kansas City’s Community Radio, under Friends of Community Media, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the information about you that you decide to give us. We use the information we collect about you to process donations and to collect feedback from you.

Please also be aware that websites that have links to or from our site may collect personally identifiable information about you. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, including credit card numbers entered on the KKFISTORY website, we have physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information you provide us online.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

KKFISTORY.ORG  takes appropriate steps to communicate our privacy policy and guidelines to all workers on the site and site users.

Occasionally, KKFISTORY.ORG may make subscribers’ names available to other non-profit organizations. All visitors completing the online subscription form are given the opportunity to say that they prefer not to have their name and contact information made available.

Who we share your data with

When you subscribe to KKFISTORY.ORG with your donation support online, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your donation and to notify you of your donation status.

When you submit feedback, we collect your name, e-mail address, and the general area where you live. This information allows us to respond to your message more effectively.

Occasionally, and only with your prior permission, KKFISTORY.ORG makes subscribers’ names available to other non-profit organizations.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How does KKFISTORY.ORG protect your personal information?
